The Occult Arts - Sinful in the Words of God?

 Many Blessings!

I wanted to write on a topic that I recently found myself discussing.
Most recently I got into a discussion about Kabbalistic text. There are books out there with some Jewish Books renamed and made to see this text on Kabbalah is actually lost books, or removed books of the bible. These books do not include the introduction chapter with "The Book of Creation" that explains this book and it's purpose.

Conversation of course became heated. It really heated up when I stated this is a book of white magic. Kabbalah is the Esoteric (that which is hidden) teachings of the Jewish text and goes deeper into the Torah/Old Testament writings. It shows the symbolism within the bible's pages and helps us learn the parables.

The second thing that sent the conversation over the edge...

Sefer Yetzhirah (The Book of Creation) was NEVER meant to be in the bible. It was taught verbally because it was never in written form for a long period of time. Also, if you reveal all of your cards in one place it destroys the whole point of Esoteric.

Kabbalah is a beautiful thing to learn. It is however dangerous to those who do not understand and continue to view it with eyes wide shut. They continue to see the parable about a mustard seed as the mustard seed. They view the Holy words in a Literalist mindset and not as a Gnostic. Fully open mind and open hearts will understand and seek more wisdom.

So, to add to this topic of the white magic. I had recently done some reading dealing with the Jewish views of Witches and Witchcraft. I wanted to learn from the beginning Abrahamic religion what to them classified someone to be a witch doing witchcraft. I came across an article that discussed various Jewish text and came to find Witchcraft (Folk Magic) happens when a person does religious rituals at home (outside of temple). This was mostly women who did this, because Women were not allowed to put rituals into practice in temple. I will also drop a reminder right here to say Prayer is also considered a religious ritual. To pray within your home outside of temple/church is witchcraft.

Within Kabbalistic and Jewish teachings witchcraft/sorcery is only sinful if the witch think the energy and results comes strictly from them. As long as you believe it is the Universe, a supreme being, God, whatever you believe to call the "Almighty" in which this power and ability comes from then your witchcraft is NOT a sin.

This is why I have included the lower text. The one just below explains what exactly the word sage means. The other is from Avodat Kochavim - Chapter Ten. As you see it states the Jews are wise sages. Sages are magicians, people who do magic. This is not stating sorcery and the occult arts are not of God. This is telling the reader this particular form of magic (black magic) is not pure or of God. It was empty because it was practiced out of Ego removing the connection of one with the universe. The magicians of black magic believed the power was within them. The below even states whoever believes in Occult Arts of THIS nature.

Sage noun - A person of deep wisdom or learning. ... Magician and sage are semantically related. Sometimes you can use "Magician" instead a noun "Sage".

6: All the above matters are falsehood and lies with which the original idolaters deceived the gentile nations in order to lead them after them. It is not fitting for the Jews who are wise sages to be drawn into such emptiness, nor to consider that they have any value as [implied by Numbers 23:23]: "No black magic can be found among Jacob, or occult arts within Israel." Similarly, [Deuteronomy 18:14] states: "These nations which you are driving out listen to astrologers and diviners. This is not [what God... has granted] you."

Whoever believes in [occult arts] of this nature and, in his heart, thinks that they are true and words of wisdom, but are forbidden by the Torah, is foolish and feebleminded. He is considered like women and children who have underdeveloped intellects.

The masters of wisdom and those of perfect knowledge know with clear proof that all these crafts which the Torah forbade are not reflections of wisdom, but rather, emptiness and vanity which attracted the feebleminded and caused them to abandon all the paths of truth. For these reasons, when the Torah warned against all these empty matters, it advised [Deuteronomy 18:13]: "Be of perfect faith with God, your Lord."

The part insulting the intellect of women and children is for another blog. You can bet that will probably be written next on how the divine feminine was stripped from her rightful throne. When this happened is when Women became the witches burned at the stake and turned into slaves less than cattle and dogs. This is just the beginning of explanation around the truth. The information I hope will open eyes and free those who may or may not call themselves Pagan, Witches, Heathens or anything else that does not fall under the usual title of Christian.

Until next time my friends.
Remember to go forward with an open mind and open heart.
